I'm a graphic designer, illustrator, and blogger based in Madison, WI. It might seem strange that I get excited thinking about colors, typography and layout design, but my passion for all aspects of design has remained strong throughout my career.
As a kid growing up in the military doing your best work and being kind to others was something that was ingrained in me every step of the way.
Kid Joseph was always sketching in his notebook and dreaming of larger than life ideas. Drawing on my parents walls and scribbling doodles in class was a regular activity.
Once I got to college though I knew that creating shit was something that I was born to do. having an open mind and a drive to explore was necessary for me to find my way in the digital design realm.
Out of college I worked for UnitedHealth Group as a multimedia designer primarily crafting micro sites and assisting the marketing department in creating creative assets. From there I moved down to Madison where I now live and work as a User Interface and Graphic Designer at The Digital Ring Ad Agency.
Working as a freelancer though has always been the dream and allows me to help small businesses and personal brands realize their creative potential.
Logo design, print design, website design, environmental design, and even vehicle wraps - Working with me means that you get a creative partner that thinks outside the box and never stops working for you.
I’m excited to meet you and I look forward to bringing your vision to reality!
What it's like working with a freelancer
Finding the right freelancer for your design project is a bitch, there’s so many to choose from and you never really know what your going to get in the end - I know It’s a pain - but it shouldn’t have to be!
That’s why I offer free design consultation so that I can evaluate the project and give you an accurate price and timeline before you commit to anything. If it’s not the right project for me I won’t take it, but Ill pass you onto a freelancer that I think fits your project better. If the project fits and we talk things over I put it in writing and send you the proposal so that we both are on the same page. Being honest and keeping an open line of communication during the whole process is something I take pride in.
Then the design part begins! The pencil hits the paper as I handcraft your vision. I want you to be happy with the end result, so that means no cap on edits*. Once you are happy and have approved the designs I send you all the working and deliverable files both print and screen ready in an organized zip folder via Dropbox.
A virtual invoice for the project is then sent to you via email payable by card within 7-14 days.
